Call for Demo AGAINST THE SHIFT TO THE RIGHT IN STATE AND SOCIETY on 23.03.2019 in Frankfurt am Main
– Gemeinsame Busanreise aus Dresden und Leipzig –
Am 23.03.2019 findet in Frankfurt am Main eine Demonstration GEGEN DEN RECHTSRUCK IN STAAT UND GESELLSCHAFT statt. Diese beginnt um 14.00 und wir wollen gemeinsam mit einem Bus aus Sachsen dazu anreisen. Der Bus wird in Dresden losfahren und in Leipzig einen Zwischenstopp machen.
Uns ist es ein besonderes Anliegen mit Menschen aus Sachsen bei der Demonstration vertreten zu sein und damit sowohl auf die rechten Strukturen innerhalb des Staates auf Landesebene, als auch auf die gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse in einer konservativ geprägten Region aufmerksam zu machen. Vor allem im Angesicht der bevorstehenden Landtagswahl im September und den immer wieder zahlreichen stattfindenden Nazimobilsierungen in letzter Zeit ist es wichtig zu zeigen, dass wir als bundesweit organisierte Linke dem Rechts(d)ruck etwas entgegen setzen und Solidarität mit denjenigen zeigen, die von diesem in besonderem Maße bedroht sind.
Gerade Sachsen ist in der Verstrickung staatlicher Stellen, vor allem dem Verfassungsschutz und der Polizei, mit rechten Netzwerken immer wieder stark aufgefallen. Das Versagen bzw. die mutwillige Verdeckung und Fehlverhalten beim Umgang mit dem NSU, der jahrelang in Chemnitz und Zwickau Unterschlupf gefunden hat, die Bestellung des Polizeipanzers „Survivor“ mit den auffällig an NS-Symbolik erinnernden Bestickungen an den Sitzen oder auch die zahlreich bekannten Rechtspopulisten und Nazis in Uniform, sind nur einige Beispiele dafür. Dass in den nächsten Monaten auch noch ein in vielen Teilen rechts- bzw. verfassungswidriges und freiheitsfeindliches Polizeigesetz verabschiedet werden soll, ist ein weiterer Grund sich genau jetzt gegen die autoritäre Wende stark zu machen.
Auch in der Zivilgesellschaft ist ein starker Rechtsruck, Antifeminismus und Rassismus zu beobachten. Pegida in Dresden, der Schulterschluss von neuer Rechter, Neonazis und AfD in Chemnitz im letzten Jahr und die immer wieder kehrenden Angriffe Geflüchtete und (vermeintliche) Migrant*innen, wie in Heidenau und Freital, sowie auf linke Projekte und Menschen, sind auch hier nur die Spitze des Eisberges eines tief verwurzelten Konservativismus und rechter Ideologie in weiten Teilen der Gesellschaft.
Dies ist nicht zufällig so, sondern das logische Resultat eines Politikversagens der seit der Wiedervereinigung regierenden CDU mit ihren Verharmlosungen rechter Aktivitäten und Akteur*innen in Verwaltung und Rechtssprechung, der Repression linker solidarischer Projekte und der Prekarisierung vieler Menschen in den neuen Bundesländern durch den Abbau des Sozialstaates.
Trotz alle dem gibt viele, die diesen Entwicklungen solidarische und progressive Alternativen entgegen setzen. Genau deswegen wird unsere Kritik an Diskriminierung, staatlicher Repression und einem Staat, der diese Verhältnisse stützt, nicht verklingen. Wir erinnern an die Opfer und die Taten des sog. NSU, an die Bedrohung der Anwältin Seda Başay-Yildiz, das „Hannibal–Netzwerk„ in der Bundeswehr und fordern eine konsequente Aufarbeitung der Vorfälle  das Erkennen der Systematik statt der Verharmlosung als „Einzelfälle“.

Call for Demo AGAINST THE SHIFT TO THE RIGHT IN STATE AND SOCIETY on 23.03.2019 in Frankfurt am Main

 

– Joint bus journey from Dresden and Leipzig –
On 23.03.2019 a demonstration will take place in Frankfurt am Main against the SHIFT TO THE RIGHT IN STATE AND SOCIETY. It starts at 14.00 and we want to travel together with a bus from Saxony. The bus will leave Dresden and make a stopover in Leipzig.

 

It is our special concern to be represented with people from Saxony at the demonstration and to draw attention to the right-wing structures within the state at state level as well as to the social conditions in a conservatively shaped region. Especially in view of the upcoming state elections in September and the numerous Nazi mobilizations that have taken place recently, it is important to show that we as a nationally organized left-wing movement oppose the right and show solidarity with those who are particularly threatened by it.
Saxony in particular has repeatedly attracted attention in the entanglement of state authorities, above all the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the police, with right-wing networks. The failure or the deliberate concealment and misconduct in dealing with the NSU, which for years found shelter in Chemnitz and Zwickau, the order of the police tank „Survivor“ with the striking embroidery on the seats reminiscent of Nazi symbolism, or the numerous right-wing populists and Nazis in uniform, are just a few examples of this. The fact that in the next few months a police law will be passed which is in many parts illegal, unconstitutional and hostile to freedom is another reason to take a stand against the authoritarian turn right now.
A strong shift to the right, anti-feminism and racism can also be observed in civil society. Pegida in Dresden, the solidarity of new rightists, neo-Nazis and AfD in Chemnitz last year and the repeated attacks on fugitives and (supposed) migrants, as in Heidenau and Freital, as well as on left-wing projects and people, are also here only the tip of the iceberg of deeply rooted conservatism and right-wing ideology in large parts of society.

This is not by chance, but the logical result of a political failure of the CDU, which has ruled since reunification, with its trivialization of right-wing activities and actors in administration and jurisprudence, the repression of left-wing solidarity projects and the precarization of many people in the new federal states through the dismantling of the welfare state.

Despite all this, there are many who oppose these developments with solidarity and progressive alternatives. Precisely for this reason our criticism of discrimination, state repression and a state that supports these conditions will not fade away. We remember the victims and the deeds of the so called NSU, the threat to the lawyer Seda Başay-Yildiz, the „Hannibal Network“ in the Bundeswehr, and demand a consistent processing of the incidents, the recognition of the systematics instead of the trivialization as „individual cases“.
